MISSION
STATEMENT:
(Why we exist)
Continental Divide Association is a
network of congregations working together in pursuit of the Great
Commission (Matt. 28:18-20) and the Great Commandment (Matt. 22:37).
VISION
STATEMENT: (Where
we are going)
The CDA Churches will initiate and
maintain healthy congregations extending into every community in our
area of Colorado. We will work in partnership to reach our region, our
state, our nation and our world (Acts 1:8) with the Transformational
News of Jesus Christ. Through the cooperative effort of our churches,
the CDA will provide training, resources, spiritual support and
opportunities for mission and ministry involvement for every
congregation.
OUR DREAM:
We see a day...

When
every community and people-group in our part of Colorado will have
access to at least one CDA congregation.

When
all our congregations with a good balance of worship, evangelism,
Bible study, discipleship, missions and fellowship. (Six purposes of
the church)

When
our local churches network together to do missions according to the
Acts 1:8 principle: in their local area, around their state, across
their nation and out to the far reaches of the world.

When
every congregation provides discipleship that results in service,
ministry and missions as God calls and directs.

When
resources are shared freely and used in real spiritual partnership to
build up the Kingdom of God.

When
giving is joyous and free, and stewardship is practiced as a natural
part of the Christian life.

When
church growth is the obvious result of the joy and effectiveness of
local churches that relate to their communities and minister to those
in need.

When
Christian love is the hallmark of a growing fellowship among the
churches as they experience the joy of unity in the Lordship of Christ
and His Kingdom purpose.
